Your home, on the record
Every home generates a paper trail — receipts in a kitchen drawer, a furnace manual in the garage, a roofer's invoice in an email you'll never find again. A Proven home profile turns that scattered evidence into a single structured record: the systems your home is made of, the documents that prove what was done to them, and the timeline of who touched what, when.
What the profile actually contains
A profile starts with the home's basic facts — year built, square footage, location — and then breaks the home down into its major systems: heating and cooling, water heater, roof, electrical panel, appliances, pool equipment, irrigation. Each system carries its own small dossier:
- Identity — brand, model, and where we can read it, the serial number and manufacture date.
- Condition — a 0–100 health score derived from age, documented service, and inspection evidence, not a guess.
- Life outlook — an estimate of remaining service life anchored to the unit's age and rated lifespan.
- Paper — every receipt, warranty, permit, and manual filed against the system it belongs to.
Why structure beats a folder of PDFs
A folder of scanned receipts answers no questions. A structured record does: When was the heat pump last serviced? Is the water heater still under warranty? What did the roof recoat cost, and who did it? Those answers are what a buyer's inspector, an insurance adjuster, or your own future self actually needs — and they're only possible when each document is attached to the system it describes.
The profile is also cumulative. Most home value tools start from zero every time you use them. A Proven profile compounds: every service visit, every uploaded receipt, every photo makes the record more complete, and the completeness score on your dashboard shows exactly how much of the home is documented.
Getting from empty to documented
You don't need a weekend. Most owners start with a few photos — Proven identifies appliances and equipment from the nameplate and fills in model details automatically. Add the documents you can find, and the record grows from there one service visit at a time. The sample report shows what a mature, three-year record looks like in practice.
Your home already has a history. A Proven profile is just where it finally gets written down.
